About The Position

Brightstar is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to patients in the OakPark / Maywood area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing principles, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and the ability to work independently while adhering to established healthcare standards.

Requirements

Valid nursing license in the state of IL.
Must be available to work Thursday-Sunday
Strong knowledge of hoyer, trach, gtube, vent monitoring, catheter, and medication administration.
Ability to perform physical examinations effectively and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing empathetic care to patients and their families.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation.
Commitment to always upholding healthcare standards and best practices.
Must pass background check and drug screening
Least 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients to evaluate their health status.
Administer medications, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patient and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and wellness strategies.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety for the clients.
