Adult and Pediatric Private Duty Nurse
About The Position
As a Private Duty Nurse with Centria Healthcare, you'll deliver compassionate, one-on-one care to patients in the comfort of their homes. Whether caring for a medically complex child or an adult recovering from a motor vehicle accident, you'll be making a meaningful difference every day. We specialize in: Pediatric Care: Children with tracheostomies, ventilators, seizure disorders, and other complex medical needs. Adult Care: Individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents facing injuries such as spinal cord damage, TBI, orthopedic injuries, and more. We have immediate needs for private duty nurses (RNs or LPNs) in the West Bloomfield Township area to provide home care to pediatric patients. Our pediatric population ranges in ages from birth to 21 years of age. Don't Have a Lot of Experience? No Problem! Whether you're new to home care or need a refresher on trach care, we offer training opportunities and the chance to shadow experienced nurses to gain the comfort level needed to provide optimal care.
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Michigan
- Experience in home health, private duty, or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication skills and a passion for patient-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric or adult care experience a plus (trach/vent knowledge helpful but not required)
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care (trach/vent care, medication administration, catheter care, etc.)
- Monitor and document vitals, symptoms, and changes in condition
- Assist with ADLs such as repositioning, hygiene, mobility, etc.
- Support patient well-being with compassionate and attentive care
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and the healthcare team
