About The Position

Adoration Private Duty is seeking a passionate and flexible LPN to join our PRN float team in Jackson, TN. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy variety and are comfortable working in different home care settings across the area, providing one-on-one care when it's needed most. The position is a PRN role with varied shifts, allowing flexibility to float between patients and shifts. It is great for nurses who prefer schedule variety and is ideal for filling in open shifts and ensuring continuity of care.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing
• Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Active CPR certification
• Familiarity with electronic health records
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
• Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN
• Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
• Monitor and record intake and output, reporting significant changes immediately
• Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and report any changes
• Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN, documenting the patient's file accordingly
• Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned
