The Private Credit, Leveraged Finance Associate role at Macquarie involves working within the Financial Markets division to support the growth of the private credit trading and lending portfolio.   • Perform credit analysis on US companies borrowing loans from investment funds and other lenders.
  • Conduct due diligence on each borrower's capital structure, business segments, valuation, products/services, competitors, and financial performance.
  • Focus on fund analysis and perform financial due diligence on investment funds that are potential or existing clients, particularly in direct lending.
  • Analyze fund investors, fund structures, asset portfolios, uncalled capital, and future fundraising plans.
  • 2+ years' experience in Investment banking, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, or Private Credit.
  • Strong technical lending or investment background with an understanding of financial analysis, structuring, documentation, and execution of private credit transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
  • Comprehension of due diligence requirements for varying proposals (legal, technical, financial, and other relevant due diligence reports).
  • Background and knowledge of credit documentation and capital markets.
