About The Position

A&PS Build Team (US Citizen) Build Engineer (Expert) - Server Builds/VMWare US Citizen Location: 30% travel 70% remote. (Any Location) On-site 30% and remote 70%, all travel-related costs covered by HPE outside of the standard site. (ignore the location set on job posting - that is for HPE internal purposes only) JOB DESCRIPTION: The Build Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and integration of proprietary and 3rd party products and services in a greenfield datacenter environment (build-from-scratch). The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience with industry-standard virtualization tools for compute. The candidate must be comfortable deploying, updating and interacting with VM's. This person will not be setting up or using a system that is already built, they will be building the system and be responsible for integrating multiple technologies. The candidate should have experience building infrastructure including OS Image lifecycle, STIG processes, and troubleshooting and debugging issues.

Requirements

Expert background and experience with VMWare
Expert Linux skills
Working knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes)
Must be a US citizen as this supports a Federal client

Responsibilities

Install, patch, and configure software and virtualization products on top of HPE hardware.
Plan for and execute adding new tools to the private cloud environment as needed for adding capabilities.
Remediate security vulnerabilities.
