About The Position

Toyota Insurance is looking for a Private Client Account Manager to manage the service, sales and retention of client accounts assigned to Lexus Insurance Services. Activities include, but not limited to new and renewal marketing, handling client questions and requests, policy checking, proposal creation and coverage review.

Requirements

  • Property & Casualty License or Personal Lines License required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance Agency along with a thorough understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting and rating concepts.
  • High School Graduate. College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of Nexsure preferred, but not required.
  • Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
  • Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
  • Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
  • Ideally (but not required) hold an industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU or expected to further industry knowledge through courses.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with MS Office products preferred/required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables
  • Familiarity with Nexsure, XDTI, AMS
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Functional knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Service client accounts independently utilizing carrier websites and online rating systems.
  • Schedule and attend appointments with clients as requested.
  • Occasionally attend and consult on prospect and client meetings as requested.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of program qualifications and making underwriting decisions aligned with policy provisions.
  • Provide technical expertise in coordinating the service of new and existing clients through sales, account development, and problem solving in accordance with the objectives and procedures.
  • Submit to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies.
  • Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
  • Refer clients to carriers for direct reporting of claims. Submit first reports of claims (when necessary) for specialty markets and facilitate prompt response from carrier.
  • Work within the Lexus Insurance Services initiatives included, but not limited to, placing business in and utilizing carrier service centers, direct bill and download wherever possible.
  • Prepare renewals in coordination with program standards.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedule, and proposals for word processing as needed.
  • Process and follow up on cancellations requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution; maintains agency in financial equity whenever possible.
