About The Position

The Private Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking meals tailored to the preferences and dietary needs of individuals, families, or small groups in private households. This role involves menu planning, sourcing quality ingredients, ensuring food safety, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in private households, luxury settings, or fine dining restaurants.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of nutrition and special dietary requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Professional demeanor, discretion, and adaptability.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required).

Responsibilities

• Create customized menus based on the client's dietary preferences, allergies, and nutritional requirements.
• Prepare and cook meals to the highest standard, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
• Source fresh, high-quality ingredients from local markets or trusted suppliers.
• Manage inventory and ensure pantry and fridge are adequately stocked.
• Adapt recipes and meal plans to accommodate special diets, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or other specific requirements.
• Stay informed about nutrition and wellness trends to provide expert advice.
• Plan and execute meals for private events, dinner parties, or special occasions hosted by the client.
• Collaborate with additional staff or vendors if needed for larger gatherings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor food and supply expenses, keeping costs within an agreed budget.
• Provide expense reports and receipts when necessary.
