SUMMARY: The Senior Private Brands Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing new Supplier lines to ensure policy and procedures are followed and to make sure suppliers are smoothly integrated into our Supply Chain. The Senior Specialist is further responsible for upholding the efforts for the Purchasing Team towards getting the highest quality merchandise, within specified inventory parameters, at the lowest net landed cost. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Attain company and department goals set for fill-rate, service levels, and inventory targets. Negotiate additional discounts and payment terms that are favorable to the organization and communicate these terms to our Accounting department. Train supply chain new hires; serve as a resource for the supply chain department. Manage at least the top 25 PB vendors. Act as a liaison between our suppliers and our PB Merchandiser to assure product availability of new product introductions from existing suppliers. Provide feedback to the PB Merchandiser on any product changes. Ensure Sales and Customer Service has information regarding delivery status of inventory items for communication to our customers. Work with Receiving and the OFC to maximize material handling efficiencies and to resolve issues as they arise. Work with Accounting to resolve billing and receiving discrepancies, to help maintain open PO integrity. Work with the Costing/Pricing area to support their efforts in maintaining accurate costs in the system. Evaluate vendor terms and policies and make sure they are in harmony with the goals of Summit Racing Equipment. Assist in distribution of this information throughout the organization. Assure vendor compliance with usage of the B2B website informational system. Complete departmental requirements for Full Line Reviews. Work with the PB Supply Chain Analyst to insure that the PB supply chain has all reporting tools necessary to efficiently do their jobs. Analyze opportunities for enhancements to department operating systems and work with IT to implement changes. Analyze new suppliers and coordinate with all internal departments including: Assisting the PB Merchandiser in negotiating programs that are within Summit Racing Equipment guidelines. New supplier purchase order placement and communication. B2B site setup and training for new suppliers. Maintain current Supplier information in the DANA intranet tool. Coordinate EDI processes with the supplier and our IT department Administer all Data Highway needs with our suppliers and internal departments. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 5 years purchasing experience including negotiations, supplier analysis and supplier management. This is a hybrid role. First 90 days in office for training. After training: This role requires in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the option to work remotely the remaining three weekdays, subject to change based on business needs. Occasional in-office attendance on other weekdays may be necessary to accommodate in-person vendor meetings based on vendor and representative availability.
