About The Position

The Private Banking Associate is responsible for the delivery of exceptional client experiences as well as the execution and administration of servicing and operational needs on behalf of Private Bankers and Private Banking client relationships. Private Banking Associates support and assist in the administration and management of Private Banking client relationships in concert with Private Bankers.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of financial services industry experience
  • Previous consumer lending experience
  • Working knowledge of mortgage lending process
  • Demonstrated professionalism
  • Extraordinary client service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, PPT and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Provides organizational and administrative support to Private Bankers. Including immaculate maintenance and records of private client files, management of all BSA/high risk/compliance reporting
  • Works in concert with key internal LOB’s for the benefit of comprehensive client relationships
  • Responsible for the open and onboarding of new private client deposit and credit facilities
  • Responsible for the tracking, communication, and management of Private Banking maturities, renewals, and client eligibility reporting
  • Inputs credit requests, managing the loan process from application to close including but not limited to, document retrieval and provision, collateral perfection, document preparation requests and reviews, loan booking, and closings ensuring accuracy with adherence to approvals
  • Becomes the SME for private banking Salesforce
  • Provides exceptional client service experiences with direct client engagement
  • Resolves client issues expeditiously and meticulously with a high professional degree of listening and communication
  • Manages client tasks which includes but is not limited to, new accounts, wire transfers, account titling, wire transfer facilitation, internal transfers, online, mobile, and debit card needs, and any/all client day-to-day requests and tasks
  • Achieves and maintains expert level knowledge of private banking products, policies, offerings, services and more
  • Achieves and maintains current working knowledge of all other Alerus business lines that work in concert with Alerus Private Banking
