About The Position

The Private Banker position at Hancock Bank involves coordinating the delivery of wealth products and services to high net worth clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Wholesale Banking required.
  • Series 7, Series 66 or Series 65 and Series 63, and Life and Health licenses preferred.
  • CFP, CWS or similar wealth management industry designation preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain CFP, CWS or similar designation within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates marketing events to promote Private Wealth Management capabilities.
  • Develops and grows a portfolio of revenue-generating client relationships.
  • Delivers personal financial planning and advisory concepts to Private Wealth Management segments.
  • Generates external sales with new clients and screens leads to attain new revenue relationships.
  • Provides lending services to Private Wealth Management clients and negotiates loan structures.
  • Packages and presents loan proposals to approval authorities based on client needs.
  • Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate, and manages timely loan closing activities.
  • Monitors loan portfolio to ensure credit quality and manages risk within loan and deposit portfolios.
  • Identifies financial needs through a consultative sales approach and provides appropriate solutions.
  • Accountable for achieving goals set by management for revenue growth and production.
  • Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services to clients.
  • Maintains and updates sales activity and pipeline using sales management tools.
  • Stays active in community and professional groups for potential client acquisition.
  • Complies with regulatory guidelines and participates in relevant committees.
