About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a Surveillance Security Officer! As a Security Officer - Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc. What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Able to pass a Physical Agility Test.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) in hand, or college degree.
  • Able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process.
  • Military or Law Enforcement experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a shift lead or better.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, and work in the elements.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Valid PILB in hand.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • U.S. Citizen or Naturalized.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
  • Assist the front gate officer with visitor management and access control, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the property.
  • Patrol the property by car and by foot in a safe manner.
  • Greet residents and their guests with a friendly demeanor verifying their identity and ensuring proper access to the community.
  • Observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to enhance community safety.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers on shift, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain all security equipment and the patrol vehicle to ensure they are operating correctly.
  • Read and write detailed reports.
  • Report any discrepancies to the account manager.
  • Provide rapid response in critical situations, providing assistance and coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Document and report any unusual activities or incidents to site management and the appropriate authorities.
  • Communicate with the Homeowners Association regarding emergencies or safety concerns.
  • Keep accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and visitor information to ensure a clear record of events for security purposes.
  • Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
