About The Position

The Privacy Manager assists with all Premier privacy activities, including but not limited to, policies, procedures, auditing, monitoring, enforcement and corrective action, and education of Premier workforce, including affiliates and sites that utilize/access the Premier electronic health record. In addition, the Privacy Manager functions as the Privacy Officer and will assist Premier workforce in utilizing patient information effectively while protecting its confidentiality and ensuring the appropriate use and disclosure. The Privacy Manager is the coordinator of all Privacy standards for Premier Health. The Privacy Manager provides leadership in matters of privacy and confidentiality and the implementation and enforcement of the federal rules and regulations that govern privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent alternative.
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Privacy, or must obtain certification within one year of accepting position.
• 5 - 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all Premier privacy activities including policies, procedures, auditing, monitoring, enforcement, and corrective action.
• Educate Premier workforce, including affiliates and sites that utilize/access the Premier electronic health record.
• Function as the Privacy Officer.
• Assist Premier workforce in utilizing patient information effectively while protecting its confidentiality.
• Ensure appropriate use and disclosure of patient information.
• Coordinate all Privacy standards for Premier Health.
• Provide leadership in matters of privacy and confidentiality.
• Implement and enforce federal rules and regulations that govern privacy and confidentiality.
