We’re seeking a full-time Privacy Data Analyst for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, governance and regulatory compliance across SHEIN’s global footprint. The Privacy Data Analyst is responsible for data mining privacy operations data, analyzing privacy operational trends, gathering privacy metrics, and compiling operational reports to help reduce potential compliance risk and identify opportunities for operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and responding to privacy requests from various intake channels coming into our Global Privacy Operations Center (GPOC) to ensure all submitted privacy requests are properly verified, resolved, and escalated as appropriate. This Privacy Data Analyst should have experience transforming raw data to inform decision making as well as a fundamental understanding of global privacy principles. This role must collaborate effectively with internal global security, privacy, data protection, and business stakeholders and must be able to work efficiently in a high paced alert triage environment.

  • Gather, organize, and analyze data from privacy operational activities
  • Produce reports and dashboards to provide visibility into operational metrics, KPIs, and trends
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline work processes and enhance operational tools to optimize operational efficiency
  • Support projects to enhance privacy operational capabilities
  • Monitor, respond, and resolve privacy requests across various intake channels in accordance with defined SOPs
  • Maintain response and resolution service levels and high availability to meet operational objectives
  • Collaborate with regional and global privacy operations, compliance and business functions as needed to meet compliance and operational requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in information systems, data analysis, computer science, or related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Practical data analysis experience, preferably in an e-commerce and privacy context
  • Knowledge of data privacy standards and regulations such as CPRA, GDPR, LGPD, ISO 27701
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex and technical issues to all levels of personnel
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to thrive in a global, fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly
  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
  • Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT) are highly desired
  • Experience in a service desk or similar operational role is desirable
