This position is responsible for prior authorizations of injectable and oral medications and coordination among patients, third-party payers, and the Practice. This person will be responsible for the prior authorization lifecycle, including: Verifying patient insurance coverage and determine the need for a P.A. Preparing and submitting P.A. requests to insurance companies and ensuring all documentation is submitted Monitoring the status of the P.A. Adressing and resolving any roadblocks in the process Ensuring HCPCS codes and ICD-10 codes are accurate To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
