This position involves the setup and operation of all heavy bindery equipment, including the Mueller saddle stitcher, folders, large folders, perfect binder, cutters, scoring, and perf equipment. The role requires performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance, as well as regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment mentioned. The individual will coordinate with the Assistant Director to request service and repair technicians and order parts and/or consumables as necessary. Additionally, the position includes assisting with light bindery functions such as punching, collation, saddle stitching, drilling, cutting, laminating, and any associated handwork required for various projects. The individual will also participate with the Assistant Director and other internal stakeholders to discuss project specifications and processing efficiencies as needed. This role is crucial for the setup and operation of all heavy bindery equipment for both offset and digital printing. Furthermore, the individual will assist with pulling paper and other items from inventory as required, completing all necessary computer entries connected to material pulls into inventory software. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the workday is essential, as well as assisting with shipping, receiving, and job deliveries on campus as needed. The position may also involve performing other duties in the production area as required.
