About The Position

We’re a family-run, full-service commercial and financial printer that’s been leading the industry since 1949. With advanced sheetfed, web, large format, digital press capabilities — plus New England’s largest bindery/finishing operation — we’re proud of our history and excited about our future. Now, we’re looking for skilled Cutter Operators to join our growing team. A Printing Finishing Specialist produces large format print. You will create high-quality signage, graphics, display materials by operating large format print and finishing equipment. This role focuses on precision, efficiency, and quality to ensure every project is finished, inspected, and ready for delivery.

Requirements

  • Production experience in a large format printing and finishing environment (sewing, cutting, laminating, trimming, packing).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed job tickets and production instructions.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and color accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to record production data accurately.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented mindset and clear communication skills.
  • Desire to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative production environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read a ruler.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience operating large format printers or related digital printing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support sign making, and sign production, including finishing graphics for display, signage, and branded materials.
  • Record time and materials accurately in the shop floor data system.
  • CNC cutting and trimming of large format graphics and signage components using Kongsberg cutting tables.
  • Laminate, cut, trim, and package printed materials according to job specifications.
  • Seam, sew and grommet vinyl banners to conform to production specifications.
  • Inspect finished prints for defects, color accuracy, and clarity, making adjustments as needed.
  • Work with a variety of substrates including rigid materials, vinyl, and specialty media.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoot technical or mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Minimize waste and maximize output through efficient press setup and material use.
  • Communicate production-related issues clearly to supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
