About The Position

Print Operator - Vutek Work Schedule: This position is for Monday-Friday Day Shift -10:30am-7:00pm with OT & Weekends as needed. Job Summary: Employees who print ripped files from Digital on one of the Digital printers are responsible for maintaining, applying settings to and loading materials and ripped files onto the printer. These employees must request necessary materials for a job out of the stockroom, check that the material is without blemish and load the material on the printer to which the job is assigned. They must also open the file on the printer computer and check for mistakes or issues that were missed by Digital, then setup the file for printing and print the job. Then they must check that the print was correct and perfect and move it in the ERP system from the printer to the next step of the job process.

Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years' experience working in digital printing
• Knowledge of computer/printing terminology
• Keen sense of urgency
• Common Sense
• Ability to recommend and implement solutions to Printing problems
• Energized and ready to grow with an outstanding organization
• Meticulous attention to detail, effective planning and organizational skills
• Highly time conscientious
• Must lead by example
• Understand the basics of industrial Safety, health and environmental impacts and proactively affect the Production staff
• Must have strong people skills, and the ability to promote teamwork
• Ability to plan and implement improvements
• Ability to identify and anticipate production and operation needs

Responsibilities

• Operate various Digital Printing Equipment
• Maintain Printing operation
• Clean Printing machines and dispose of inks and solvents to designated waste disposal areas
• Complete Inks and Jets and Bidirectional testing
• Print ripped files according to Work Order specifications
• Check that ripped files match Media Bank and Post-Preflight lasers
• Pick-up material in Stockroom for Work Orders and fill out Stock Request
• Check that all information regarding Work Order/Lasers is correct before accepting job, perform Printing duties perfectly and check that all information is correct regarding Work Order/merchandise before giving the job to the next stage of Production
