The Printer Operator works closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure the printing a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Requirements

  • High School Education/GED
  • 2-3 years in setup/operating/adjusting printing decorators in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate, read, understand measuring x rite color density gauge, and computers.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 Hour OSHA Certification
  • Operation of a Rutherford Printer
  • Beverage Packaging industry experience
  • Ink toning knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Maintain activities of the printer/decorator beverage cans focusing on Safety, Quality, Productivity and Spoilage.
  • Operate and maintain decorator equipment safely.
  • Communicate pertinent information between the supervisor, quality control, departments, and between shifts regarding equipment changes, production problems, or other related information.
  • Assist and train new operators as needed or required.
  • Apply skills and methods to improve plant production.
  • Inspect product to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain quality and modify existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies.
  • Complete and administer necessary documentation such as production sheets, schedules, monthly SAFE cards, accident/near miss/hazard reporting, and process control sheets.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
