Requirements

  • High School Education/GED.
  • 2-3 years in setup/operating/adjusting printing decorators in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate, read, understand measuring x rite color density gauge, and computers.
  • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 Hour OSHA Certification.
  • Operation of a Rutherford Printer.
  • Beverage Packaging industry experience.
  • Ink toning knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain activities of the printer/decorator beverage cans with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity and Spoilage.
  • Operate and maintain decorator equipment safely.
  • Communicate all pertinent information between the supervisor, quality control, departments, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information.
  • Assist and train new operators as needed.
  • Apply skills and methods to improve plant production.
  • Inspect product to ensure compliance to quality standards.
  • Maintain quality and modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies.
  • Complete and/or administer necessary documentation such as production sheets, schedule, monthly SAFE cards, accident/near miss/hazard reporting and process control sheets.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
