About The Position

The Printer Operator - Industrial is responsible for safely making adjustments to and operating can decorating/coating machinery and related equipment. This role includes assisting in repairing and maintaining equipment as directed. The operator will adjust and operate all machinery related to the decorating and coating of can bodies, including printers, attachments, coating ovens, and mechanical control devices. The position requires examining cans for conformance to specifications, making necessary adjustments, and performing routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Requirements

• Familiar with personal protective equipment.
• Mechanically inclined and familiar with hand tools.
• Familiar with proper handling of chemicals/solvents.
• Familiar with material safety data sheets.
• 1 year of inside spray experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Decorator/Printer Operator experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate computer-based programs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and operates all machinery relating to the decorating and coating of can bodies.
• Examines cans to determine conformance to specifications and makes adjustments to equipment.
• Inspects equipment to prevent breakdowns and lubricates for wear.
• Reads and follows procedural manuals and production logs.
• Services equipment by adding oil, lubricants, inks, and lacquers.
• Observes safety regulations and maintains a clean work environment.
• Refers unusual or critical needs to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
