About The Position

Object Inked is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Print Shop Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for preparing print-ready files, operating large-format printing equipment, and producing high-quality printed materials for clients.

Object Inked was founded to bring high-quality, in-house printing capabilities to the production environment of Object Construction, and we now proudly provide these services to external clients as well. We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands production timelines, and values customer service and quality.

Requirements

• Required experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Previous experience working in a print shop, sign shop, or production environment.
• Strong understanding of print production workflows and file preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during production.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with large format printing equipment.
• Experience with vinyl cutting, weeding, and application.
• Knowledge of color calibration and print profiles.
• Experience with signage production and installation.
• Experience working with event graphics or branded environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage print-ready files using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Operate and maintain large-format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and finishing equipment.
• Produce a variety of printed materials including banners, signage, decals, vinyl graphics, event graphics, and branded materials.
• Trim, laminate, mount, and finish prints to meet job specifications.
• Review artwork and files for accuracy including color settings, bleed, sizing, and resolution before production.
• Ensure all printed products meet Object Inked’s quality standards before completion.
• Manage multiple jobs while maintaining production schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain inventory of print materials including vinyl, substrates, inks, and finishing supplies.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and notify management of maintenance needs.
• Keep the shop organized and maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
• Package and prepare completed jobs for pickup, delivery, or installation.
