About The Position

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Print Shop Supervisor to lead daily print production operations, manage workflow, ensure on-time delivery, and provide outstanding internal customer service. The role requires a hands-on leader with digital print production experience, team leadership skills, and strong client communication abilities. Candidates with experience managing a commercial print shop, copy center, production facility, or in-plant print operation are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Experience supervising or leading a print shop, copy center, or production environment
  • Strong knowledge of digital print production workflows
  • Experience with bindery equipment such as folding, cutting, and binding machines
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple projects
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Publisher
  • Proficiency with Fiery Command Workstation

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day print shop production, scheduling, and workflow
  • Ensure all jobs are completed accurately, on time, and within budget
  • Manage multiple priorities, rush jobs, and changing deadlines
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Review incoming print requests and prepare jobs for production
  • Coordinate printing, finishing, bindery, packaging, and shipping
  • Monitor proofs, graphics files, and production specs
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Operate digital print equipment as needed
  • Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Assist with troubleshooting printers and service tickets
  • Monitor inventory levels for paper, toner, bindery supplies, and consumables
  • Order materials and verify invoices for accuracy
  • Coordinate paper and toner deliveries
  • Work directly with internal clients and departments to define project requirements
  • Recommend print methods, materials, timelines, and cost-effective solutions
  • Communicate job status, production timelines, and specification questions
  • Coordinate outside vendors when specialty printing is required
  • Work closely with leadership on department goals and growth initiatives
  • Improve shop processes, workflow, and capabilities
  • Learn new equipment and help expand production capacity
  • Build strong working relationships across departments and executive teams
