About The Position

This position will operate bindery equipment and perform manual bindery functions, and package finished jobs and write up associated delivery tickets for jobs.

Requirements

• 1 year operating light bindery equipment
• 1 year performing manual bindery operations
• Knowledge of bindery equipment.
• Skills to operate and maintain bindery equipment.
• Ability to use a variety of different bindery equipment from different manufacturers.
• Knowledge of bindery principles, techniques and materials.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Good math and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or vocational degree in printing and graphic arts.
• Knowledge of various types of paper and printing techniques.
• 2 years operating light bindery bindery equipment
• 2 years performing manual bindery operations

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery equipment such as cutter, three hole drills, automatic punch, laminator, coil and spiral binders, thermal binder, score/perf/fold equipment, Horizon collator and stitcher, shrink wrap tunnel, padding equipment, etc.
• Perform manual bindery functions as assigned.
• Write up delivery slips for finished jobs.
• Package finished jobs for delivery.
• Organize leftover materials for storage and disposition.
• Maintain light bindery equipment and general work area.
