About The Position

The position involves running various equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and shipping a quality product to the customer. Tasks will include operating sheet fed and digital presses, bindery equipment, and other processing equipment, as well as shipping and packing. Associates are responsible for following standard operating procedures to ensure the quality of the orders produced while working in a team environment to achieve daily goals. The role requires running mostly standard work, with basic manual numbering and automated or basic setups and changeovers as needed. Responsibilities also include performing set-up of the press, identifying and loading correct stock, setting the correct paper path and stretch, mounting plates, die registration, and making adjustments to ink and water levels. The operator must ensure accurate single-color register and set up any attribute functions such as perforations and numbering. Additionally, the operator must troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, make necessary adjustments to the equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and cleaning to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of printing experience with similar equipment.
  • Familiarity with product, equipment, printing process, and ink usage.
  • Mechanical ability to operate and maintain press.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
