The Print Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining roll and cut‑sheet printing equipment, supporting daily production schedules, and ensuring high-quality output. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand English-language safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using basic units of measurement such as weight, volume, and quantity.
  • Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.
  • Ability to problem‑solve when faced with concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling.
  • Exposure to loud noise and vibration from machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform tasks such as sorting, operating roll-fed and cut‑sheet printers, and preparing machines for production.
  • Interpret and follow weekly and daily production schedules.
  • Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Ensure all assigned work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and all company safety standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements at all times.
  • Assemble printed products to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workflow, productivity, and overall efficiency.
  • Schedule time off in a way that supports continued department operations.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and overhead movements.
