The Print Operator will provide exceptional customer service and solutions for client's copy/print needs, ensuring quality production processes for various print and finishing tasks. This role involves operating print and production equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a professional print center environment.

  • Review, prioritize and submit print requests from various sources according to complexity and urgency.
  • Ensure that the output is quality checked and accurately meets the instructions as submitted.
  • Deliver print jobs within established timeframes and maintain logs of all work submitted and completed, including service logs.
  • Responsible for minor maintenance of reproduction equipment, including solving paper jams and placing service calls.
  • Take meter readings of each duplicating machine on a daily basis.
  • Monitor inventory of print supplies, stock paper and toners.
  • Inform clients of estimated completion time, delays in service, or when specific services cannot be provided.
  • Work with clients to resolve complaints to their satisfaction.
  • Help to open and close the print center and assist in keeping the center neat and professional looking.
  • Make adjustments to image quality using printer software and create folders and directories for print on demand orders.
  • Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years experience working directly in a print center.
  • Familiarity with general job functions and minimal understanding of detailed aspects of the job.
  • Knowledge of machine operations from low to high volume high speed duplicating equipment.
  • Proficiency in the use of a variety of reproduction-related equipment & systems (fax, scanner, punches, staplers, inserters, folders, paper cutters, spiral-binding, velo-binders, stitcher and collaters, counters).
  • Ability to follow directives and handle physical demands.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
