About The Position

The Print Operations Manager has responsibility for the site operations in a manner that results in accuracy, timeliness, and profitability without compromising company standards for quality and is an Operations leader onsite. This Print Operations Manager will work to continuously improve the functionality and level of service provided to our customers and to exceed departmental safety, quality and productivity goals. Using advanced professional concepts, this manager resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways and is capable of operating with significant autonomy and discretion. This position requires a proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment. This role requires significant creativity and judgment, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, strong project management skills, strong judgment and instincts, strong influencing skills and negotiation skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. The manager admits and takes ownership for mistakes, knows when to ask for help, keeps others informed of information that contributes to the performance of the team, department or company, and engenders trust and respect in all working relationships.

Requirements

  • Direct management experience for an hourly employee population and its performance
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques
  • Flexible to work any/all shifts, schedules, hours and areas including weekends, nights and holidays as needed
  • Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head
  • Ability to continually stand and/or walk in/around the Fulfillment Center
  • Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned
  • Required Experience Commercial print environment experience
  • Experience with large format print technology
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments across the nation
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Exemplary attendance and punctuality record
  • Experience managing across various employee levels, days, and shifts (preferably multi-shift)
  • Process improvement and workflow analysis experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision making skills
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management procedures and Inventory Control
  • Ability to work with people in a fast paced environment as well as the ability to work independently
  • Heavy lifting, exposure to temperature extremes due to working with design and production team in warehouse, prolonged standing, or travel up to 25%
  • Comfortable lifting 15lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team by training, developing, and coaching team members on a consistent basis
  • Take part in creating new policies and procedures, and owning implementation and sustaining all policies and procedures.
  • Communicate job expectations to all employees; plan, monitor, appraise, and review performance.
  • Work with the HR and Management teams to streamline communication and procedures to assure the highest customer service and efficiency.
  • Works with Operations Support team to identify and monitor key metrics.
  • Coordinate production scheduling with the Print Operations management team on a daily basis to ensure efficient and cost effective use of machinery and resources.
  • Responsible for production costs and product quality, and developing and implementing plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and labor force to establish, maintain, and enhance a profitable operation.
  • Work directly with Inventory Control, Operations Support, and Accounting to ensure the material handling protocols and inventory transactions are properly executed.
  • Work with Operations Support team to implement, and sustain facilities appearance program that ensures consistent cleanliness, organization, and quality standards that meet or exceed Corefact expectations.
  • Responsible for production safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees within the regulations of all OSHA, local, state and company regulations and policies.
  • Responsible for the management of administrative duties (payroll, inventory, team member schedules, etc.)
  • Responsible for compliance with quality control procedures
  • Responsible for production execution at a level that achieves or exceeds performance expectations
  • Perform other assignments as needed as directed by management
