About The Position

The Principal Procurement Specialist II at RTX Corporation is responsible for managing lower and non-complex commodity procurements to support various internal customers within the Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) Procurement organization. This role involves conducting quotation activities, negotiating with suppliers, performing price analyses, and managing post-award processes, all while ensuring compliance with company directives and work instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in procurement/supply chain, or an advanced degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience placing purchase orders of low to medium complexity and processing high volume POs across various business units.
  • Experience working in a virtual environment.
  • Experience performing price analyses and source selection/justification.
  • DoD procurement experience and knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of buying complex electrical and mechanical commodities.
  • Ability to read drawings and parts lists.
  • Experience with supplier management processes using SAP-PRISM.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to filter information from multiple sources to drive innovative solutions.
  • Experience with Raytheon tools and knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quotation activities for procurement.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on price, schedules, and terms & conditions.
  • Perform price analyses and prepare purchase order (P.O.) package documentation.
  • Select qualified suppliers and seek alternate suppliers when necessary.
  • Manage post-award activities in accordance with company directives.
