The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electronic assembly including solder technology to support manufacturing lines within the Advanced Composite Manufacturing factory. In this role, the Principal Process Engineer will be responsible for providing manufacturing support along with continuous improvement activities for the F35 Aperture product line. This position requires hands on problem solving, data driven analysis and application of sound engineering principles to improve production flow, product yields, and reduce cost. The Principal Process Engineer will utilize strategic thinking to implement new technology through material selection and capital equipment expenditures to maintain the ACM factory as the premier supplier of composite antennas for BAE Systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electronic assembly performing work related to J-STD -001.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and Root Cause and Corrective action implementation.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a demonstrated ability to collect meaningful data and make data driven decisions.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IPC-610/620, AS9100 and AS9145 Specifications and Standards.
  • Skills in process documentation, PPV, FAI, PFMEA.
  • Formal Six Sigma training, with a green belt minimally preferred; black belt desired.
  • Prior experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing environment.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance.
