Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Civil Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in land development project engineering and drafting
- Professional Engineer license
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related civil engineering software
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Develop plans, reports, and documents for land development projects
- Oversee the design and quality assurance of plans produced
- Review projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Prepare engineering plans, reports, and related documents, including but not limited to grading, erosion control, utilities, roads, and drainage
- Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the construction team, vendors, and professional consultants
- Manage the procurement and execution of consultant’s scopes of work related to geotechnical reports, land surveying, wetlands mitigation, etc.
- Identify and resolve complex land development issues with reviewing agencies
- Oversee and manage project timelines and budgets
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project
