Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Civil Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in land development project engineering and drafting
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related civil engineering software
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans, reports, and documents for land development projects
  • Oversee the design and quality assurance of plans produced
  • Review projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Prepare engineering plans, reports, and related documents, including but not limited to grading, erosion control, utilities, roads, and drainage
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the construction team, vendors, and professional consultants
  • Manage the procurement and execution of consultant’s scopes of work related to geotechnical reports, land surveying, wetlands mitigation, etc.
  • Identify and resolve complex land development issues with reviewing agencies
  • Oversee and manage project timelines and budgets
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project
