About The Position

The Connected Factory intelligence team is seeking a principle automation controls engineer to join our team. This role will support the development and deployment of connected factory applications into the factory areas working with factory automation engineering teams. Additional responsibilities include: Review and develop formal bill of materials and infrastructure needs for the implementation of digital applications Verify that all OT devices and structure meet Raytheon Digital Technologies standards Support the design, control, and improvement of the manufacturing process through collaboration within a multi-disciplined team Support RCCA investigations with onsite teams Support development of PLC code to integrate with digital applications

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Experience utilizing and programming Allen Bradley Studio 5000 tag-based Control Systems
  • Experience with interpretation of technical documentation
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance . U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Applied knowledge of Ethernet/IP and Ethernet working
  • Knowledge of various sensor technologies
  • Ability to specify, design, program debug systems for automation equipment
  • Experience with machine vision systems (Fanuc, DVT/Cognex)
  • Experience programming of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI/GUI); (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, etc.)
  • Experience in Robotics programming (Fanuc, ABB etc.)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and technical writing
  • Strong engineering aptitude, analytical and communication skills
  • Technical problem solving
  • Active DOD Security Clearance

Responsibilities
