Job Summary The Principal provides leadership for St. Frances Cabrini Academy (K–8), ensuring a strong Catholic identity, high academic standards, and a supportive, mission‑driven school environment. Oversees daily operations, faculty, students, and community relationships.

Requirements

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing.
  • Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in education, including 3+ in leadership (Catholic school preferred).
  • Strong skills in staff supervision, curriculum oversight, and student support.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with budgeting and school operations.
  • Ability to lead in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multicultural school settings.
  • Spanish language ability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead school in alignment with Catholic mission and values.
  • Implement and support a rigorous, faith-based curriculum.
  • Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff; support professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with Archdiocesan and state standards.
  • Collaborate with Pastor Designate and school board on vision, planning, and policy.
  • Promote a culture of faith, prayer, and Gospel-centered living.
  • Support school Masses, prayer services, and sacramental prep.
  • Model Catholic values in leadership and daily interactions.
  • Encourage integration of Catholic identity in classroom instruction.
  • Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and implementation.
  • Support effective instructional strategies and technology use.
  • Ensure inclusive, positive classroom environments and differentiated instruction.
  • Support academic, emotional, and spiritual growth of students.
  • Promote leadership, character development, and social‑emotional programs.
  • Address behavioral issues fairly, consistently, and in line with Catholic values.
  • Serve as main communicator with families, faculty, parish, and community.
  • Maintain strong relationships with families of diverse backgrounds.
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive environment for all.
  • Encourage parent involvement and community engagement.
  • Oversee school budget and responsible use of resources.
  • Collaborate on tuition, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Support fundraising, grants, donor engagement, and school events.
