About The Position

Arcadis is currently seeking a Principal Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer to help us lead a team and grow their expertise and technical knowledge of water/wastewater treatment design and construction support services. The Principal Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer will be a critical member of our team and will be expected to execute and manage projects, engage in client development and winning more exciting and challenging projects throughout the Texas market. This role sits within our Resilience global business area, where we work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Requirements

• 12 or more years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• PE License in Texas (or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months).

• 15+ years of related industry experience.
• Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients across the region.
• Coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver outstanding results.
• Oversee project budgets and delivery schedules.
• Lead project teams to ensure all deliverables are met.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of water and wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, and lift stations.
• Prepare construction documents and develop specifications.
• Manage construction oversight and administration.
• Engage in client development activities and support positioning and capture strategies.
• Contribute to proposal and presentation efforts for Water/Wastewater Facility Design projects.
• Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes and fee estimates.
• Manage risks, identify project staff, and ensure projects are set up for successful and profitable delivery.
• Coordinate with Arcadis' industry-leading technical advisors in water and wastewater process modeling and facility design.
• Contribute to strategic planning with clients for water/wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution and collection systems, and pump/lift stations.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support the work of others and ensure compliance with all Arcadis practices, quality, and safety standards.
