About The Position

T&M Associates is looking for a Principal Water Engineer to join our growing Columbus, Ohio office. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration. We’re seeking an experienced professional with 7+ years in water and wastewater planning, design, and construction administration, ready to lead impactful projects and guide multi-discipline teams. T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $104,500 - $135,000 . The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (required)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater process, treatment, and distribution projects
  • MS Office and MS Project experience required
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to work with clients and cross-discipline teams

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of project management experience preferred
  • Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D desired

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and design for municipal and industrial water/wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and technical documentation from design through construction
  • Oversee complex projects, including Design Reports, bidding, and construction phases
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and technical strategies for new opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through active engagement
  • Assemble and mentor multi-discipline teams, providing guidance to junior staff
