Join us in shaping the future of learning and workforce development! About the Role As a Principal Value Engineer, you will act as a senior advisor to our most important accounts. Your goal is to move past surface-level features and uncover the real financial impact our platform has on a client’s business. You will work alongside Sales Directors to lead deep-dive discovery sessions, build rigorous ROI models (NPV, IRR, Payback), and present clear business cases directly to C-suite stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role where you are responsible for turning technical capabilities into the financial justifications that allow clients to confidently sign off on major investments.

Requirements

  • Consultative Expertise: 8+ years of experience in GTM strategy, strategic engagements, or high-touch consultative roles within enterprise software or AI-focused environments.
  • Executive Presence & Storytelling: Strong ability to influence senior business stakeholders and navigate complex decision-making units through compelling data-driven narratives.
  • Financial Rigor: Demonstrated success in developing rigorous business cases and financial models (NPV, IRR, etc.) that justify major capital or operational investments.
  • Complex Orchestration: Proven ability to lead and collaborate across diverse internal teams—including Product, Marketing, and Partners—to drive complex strategic alignment.
  • Strategic Agility: A results-driven mindset with the ability to move seamlessly between high-level vision and the tactical execution of a value realization plan.
  • Strategic Translator: You can take a complex technical solution and explain its financial impact to a CFO in five minutes.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: You enjoy the "blank sheet of paper" phase of discovery and can build structures where none exists.
  • Internal Consultant: You aren’t just a support resource for Sales; you are a peer-level advisor who isn't afraid to challenge a strategy to ensure a better client outcome.
  • Data-Driven Storyteller & Builder: Believes that a strong business case is only as effective as the narrative supporting it.
  • Presentation Development Expertise: Ability to create clear, compelling, and executive-ready presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas and business value.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Strategic Partner: Serve as a primary advisor on critical customer engagements, working directly with C-suite stakeholders to co-create long-term strategies aligned with their top business priorities.
  • Value Discovery & Narrative Building: Support the commercial strategy for high-stakes pursuits by conducting deep-dive discovery. You will move past technical features to craft compelling, data-backed narratives that prove the necessity of the investment.
  • Financial Modeling & ROI: Build and own the rigorous methodology used to link our platform to a client's P&L. You will develop executive-ready models—incorporating NPV, ROI, and Payback Period to justify major capital expenditures.
  • Define & Scale the 'Value Standard': Develop and scale frameworks that empower self-service value models for Account Directors and Sales Directors to lead value-based discovery. Craft light-touch models for consulting and general deal support, while aligning Pre-sales, Sales, and Professional Services under a single "source of truth" for how we measure and deliver business cases. Develop high-touch strategies for complex business case development and consulting.
  • GTM Strategy Integration: Act as a bridge to our internal teams, embedding key insights and value-based best practices from deal cycles into the broader Go-To-Market strategy. Support the creation and documentation of client success stories and reusable frameworks.
