About The Position

Principal UX Product Designer - Walmart Business At Walmart Business we're working to be the first, best stop for organizations of all sizes to buy the things they need and get them where they need them. We offer the same great strengths of Walmart - things every day low prices, and a huge assortment of products - with business tools like organizational management, spend management, integration with external procurement tools and more. It's a fun, complex collaboration of consumer and enterprise interfaces. We're growing very quickly and have an huge opportunity in front of us. We work closely with business, product, and engineering partners to improve our process, execute great work, and make progress quickly. We are looking for a creative, talented Principal UX Product Designer who can coalesce large systems into an intuitive, usable whole as well as someone interested in raising the bar for craft and culture across our Design organization. If you are a hands-on problem solver who can work with multiple stakeholders, can turn limitations into opportunities, and can lead the team in setting a future vision then this may be the role for you. This opportunity is in Bentonville, Arkansas where we are expanding our design community in our new, state-of-the-art campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
  • 7 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Digital Design, HCI, Information Architecture, or similar and 7+ years of experience in product design.
  • A fantastic portfolio.
  • Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate).
  • Driving product development in a user experience area.
  • Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area.
  • Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.

  • Partnering with business partners, UXR, product managers, and engineers to create insightful design solutions.
  • Constantly balancing business goals with user needs.
  • Rapid prototyping and experimenting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multitasking across different projects and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Creating scalable experiences in partnership with our Design System team.
  • Championing the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends, in and out of retail.
