About The Position

The Principal Underground Mining Engineer at Resolution Copper Company in Superior, AZ is responsible for executing safe and practical mine designs. This role involves providing guidance to a team of mining engineers and consultants while supporting their development and growth. The engineer will develop opportunities to improve safety and value by utilizing the latest technology to establish a highly efficient operation. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines is essential to deliver an integrated design and ensure best for project decisions. The engineer will also foster strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, prepare and deliver on a practical schedule of work, and establish and refine production scheduling processes and ways of working.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• 12 years of mine design and planning work experience, with 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.
• 10 years of experience in designing underground mines.
• 10 years of experience in production planning systems and mine design software packages.
• 9 years of underground mining construction experience.
