What You Will Do: Join us as a Principal Test and Validation Engineer in Manufacturing Design, where you'll drive technical test support from development through production. Leverage your expertise to shape manufacturing test strategies, boost product producibility, and influence key program decisions for successful new product introductions. Your responsibilities will include: Serving as the manufacturing test authority within the program Applying test engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to optimize and mature the manufacturing test strategy Improving the testability of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team, identifying and resolving test constraints across the program Leveraging knowledge and technical skills to influence business decisions from new designs through transition to production Designing, controlling, and improving the testability of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team Developing influential relationships with internal customers This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with programs, factories and/or organizational leadership regarding manufacturing test strategy decisions
  • Experience communicating technical information to different audiences
  • Ability to work on programs requiring special program access
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience developing test flows and contributing to test capacity analysis
  • Experience participating in test time reduction efforts and test yield improvements
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
  • Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements
  • Proven written and oral communication and organizational skills, including presentation skills
  • Current DoD security clearance (secret)
