Northrop Grumman’s semiconductor foundry, packaging, integration, and test lines offer unique capabilities that support a range of production microelectronics and provide leading-edge technology development. The Apopka, Florida, wafer bumping µ-line will support flip-chip, 2.5D, and 3D packaging for internal production customers, as well as emerging technology programs. The line provides a range of wafer post-processing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience, or a Master’s with 3 years’ experience with relevant practice.
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either project lead (technical or manager), integrated program team, or cost account manager.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor or Advanced Packaging manufacturing.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or Control Account Management (CAM) techniques, which includes program cost and schedule management.
  • Working experience with ERP systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Experience in leadership and project management.
  • Ability to receive and maintain a U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and a master’s degree.
  • CAM certification.
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
  • Manufacturing or Engineering experience.
  • Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and leading proposal efforts.
  • Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the manufacturing team liaison to/from program management, engineering, manufacturing operations, global supply chain, mission assurance, and customers.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with program managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Act as the business-facing manufacturing representative responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance execution of the Manufacturing scope of the contract.
  • Lead manufacturing for the proposal phase of the Manufacturing operations content, including coordinating inputs with the program office, engineering, SCM, and functional manufacturing and test organizations.
  • Drive manufacturing process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives related to their specific program.
  • Manage risks and opportunities for all Manufacturing scope.
  • Collaborate with all functional organizations to resolve any Manufacturing conflicts or challenges.
  • Act as Cost Account Manager (CAM) for Manufacturing Operations budget, including Earned Value Management reporting and variance reporting.
  • Ensure that the required manufacturing and test resources are forecasted and secured to execute the job (people, equipment, and facilities).
  • Represent manufacturing at the program Configuration Control Board, ensuring proper implementation of design changes.
  • Participate in program risk management activity, ensuring manufacturing risks are accurately portrayed in the program risk register.
