Product and Engineering Department The Product and Engineering organizations at Vantage deliver the platforms, systems, and infrastructure that underpin our global data center portfolio. Technical Program Management enables the successful delivery of highly complex, cross-organizational technical initiatives, ensuring architectural intent translates into reliable, scalable execution. At the IC6/IC7 level, TPMs are force multipliers—operating with broad scope, deep technical credibility, and minimal oversight to prevent technical failure at scale. Position Overview This role will be based remotely in the United States. The Principal Technical Program Manager is responsible for owning and driving Vantage’s most complex, high-risk technical programs, spanning infrastructure platforms, distributed systems, and hardware/software co-design. This role operates as a single-threaded technical execution owner, partnering with senior engineering, architecture, and product leaders to anticipate failure modes, resolve deep technical tradeoffs, and ensure systems are designed and delivered for scale, reliability, and long-term operability. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role with no direct people management responsibility.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Engineering Program Management
  • Deep technical fluency in systems architecture, infrastructure platforms, APIs, or hardware systems
  • Proven credibility with senior engineering and architecture leaders
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-year, cross-organizational technical programs
  • Strong program execution discipline across ambiguous, high-risk technical initiatives
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight in complex environments
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 20% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive company-critical technical programs spanning multiple engineering organizations
  • Partner with senior engineers and architects to challenge designs, validate assumptions, and surface tradeoffs
  • Decompose complex, interdependent systems into sequenced technical milestones and delivery plans
  • Proactively identify technical risks, failure modes, integration issues, and scale constraints
  • Lead cross-org dependency management for platform, infrastructure, and systems initiatives
  • Drive execution of large-scale platform builds, infrastructure migrations, and hardware/software co-design programs
  • Establish and enforce technical readiness checkpoints and delivery criteria
  • Serve as the technical authority in program reviews, escalations, and executive forums
  • Translate deep technical complexity into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management
