About The Position

The Principal, Technical Program Manager leads complex, large-scale technology programs by identifying key technical risks, defining goals, managing cross-functional dependencies, and driving end-to-end delivery. This role requires expertise in program planning, technical design, and stakeholder engagement to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions. The position involves risk management, resource alignment, and continuous process improvement while closely partnering with cross-functional leaders. The successful candidate will communicate effectively across a broad range of teams, resolve ambiguities, and implement strategies that enhance operational excellence and accelerate timelines, contributing to the achievement of business objectives within a dynamic technology environment. About the team: The team drives the strategy, planning, and execution of innovative products integrating VIZIO OS with Walmart's platform, enhancing connected commerce experiences. This group leads high-impact initiatives that redefine customer interaction with content and devices in the living room. Members apply expertise in program and project management, technical design, and systems architecture to deliver scalable solutions. They collaborate across functions to manage risks, align stakeholders, and ensure seamless delivery. The team fosters continuous improvement, leveraging emerging technologies and data-driven insights to create first-of-its-kind experiences that connect digital and physical commerce environments.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in program and project management, including risk and stakeholder management across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to define and execute end-to-end program plans, managing dependencies, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Strong technical expertise in system architecture, technical design, and cloud infrastructure to guide scalable and high-availability solutions.
  • Skilled in communicating complex technical and program information clearly to a broad range of stakeholders and teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision-making and impact analysis.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in processes and ways of working.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 4 years' experience in product design.

Responsibilities

  • Define program goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale technical programs with multiple dependencies.
  • Secure commitments for scope, delivery dates, and resources while managing cross-functional dependencies.
  • Translate product requirements into technical designs and system architecture for scalable, high-availability solutions.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage issues to ensure program progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement of workflows, automation, and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and impacts clearly to stakeholders and program teams.
  • Look around corners to anticipate anticipate and mitigate speed bumps.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders including Business, Product, Engineering, Design, and Legal.
