About the team and the role: TCGplayer connects hobbyists and hobby businesses to communities. We relentlessly improve the exchange of things and thoughts that fuel passions, providing the most compelling destination and tools for collectible card game enthusiasts and professional sellers! TCGplayer, now a part of eBay, promotes and drives growth of our products and services by connecting a global community of millions of buyers with tens of thousands of retailers in a $25B global collectible hobby market. At TCGplayer the Product Team plays a crucial organizational role. This team defines features, plans roadmaps, oversees implementation, and measures the impact of every product at TCGplayer. The Product Team acts in a cross-functional leadership role when working with all of the different departments (Technology, Marketing, CX, Sales, etc.) across TCGplayer, and unites them in order to deliver the company's vision and strategy.

  • Drive collaboration with product managers to ensure the product roadmap aligns with engineering, operations, and support teams.
  • Lead coordination efforts with development, support, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Assess and determine necessary technologies to meet product requirements and implement technical specifications.
  • Act as a product owner on core technologies, providing updates to stakeholders and maintaining alignment on timelines.
  • Identify potential risks and develop pathways to overcome roadblocks.
  • Guide project teams by enhancing communication, facilitating meetings, and inspiring team members.
  • Draft, review, and effectively communicate requirements, ensuring proper Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) for all components.
  • Stay informed about industry technical trends and standards, recommending new technologies.
  • Work with engineers to analyze data, data pipelines, algorithms, and systems.
  • Collaborate with operations, architecture, ePMO, and engineering to ensure the technical roadmap is up-to-date.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or Technical Product Manager or Software development.
  • Experience in Logistics and Fulfillment technologies such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERPs, etc.
  • Mastery in technical product management and development methodologies, including Agile.
  • Proficiency with quantitative reasoning and modeling, including metric-informed decisioning.
  • A relentless focus on customers and solving their needs.
  • Experience with product lines analogous to TCGplayer, primarily ecommerce marketplace and SMB SaaS experience.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to share complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong technical skills with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development.
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in computer science, engineering, or related experience.
  • Base pay range: $124,000 - $208,300.
  • Target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable).
