Principal Technical Product Manager - AI
About The Position
The AI Product Team is responsible for building industry leading products for Enterprise AI. We are responsible for delivering a set of products and services that innovate to enable the world's largest Fortune 500 companies to build and power generative and agentic AI applications - spanning both on-premises and cloud deployments. We have a unique opportunity in the AI Product team for a Senior Product Manager who will focus on building next-generation data solutions for AI/ML and Enterprise Applications - through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. This Senior Product Manager will work closely with research and development to design and create products and validate early product definitions with customers. This role will involve analyzing the current solution portfolio to identify gaps, develop new roadmaps and help define the overall AI product strategy. This entails a firm understanding of software products, platforms, infrastructure, and the AI market; as well as developing the business case (including current and potential revenue) and the necessary competitive positioning to allow the research and development team to shape and deliver customer-centric and innovative product offerings. NetApp is the world's foremost data and storage solution provider for enterprises, with 10s of thousands of companies entrusting over 100 exabytes of their enterprise data with NetApp. This role reports to Senior Director, Product Management in the Platform Product and Engineering team.
Requirements
- 15+ years of product management, product marketing, business consulting, or business operations related relevant experience
- 7+ years of technical Product Management experience is a firm requirement. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply for this role.
- Strong experience in defining product line roadmap and strategy
- Proven leadership in working cross functionally with development, sales, and marketing teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
- Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, analyze tradeoffs, and scope business requirements.
- Decompose technical proposals into straightforward solutions.
- Experience creating enterprise service offerings that cater to a wide audience.
- Deep experience in AI workloads and building and design AI products is a firm requirement. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply for this role.
- Bachelor's degree required.
