About The Position

As a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer for Prisma AIRS, you will be a key member of the team driving the future of AI security. This critical, customer-facing role involves developing outbound technical communications, performing competitive analysis, and supporting product management to identify next-generation innovations. You will influence strategy, collaborate with marketing and sales to execute go-to-market plans, and act as a thought leader, evangelizing our products and shaping the industry.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, DevOps/Solution Architect, or a similar role within the network or cybersecurity industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with automation tools, building dashboards, and using Kubernetes and Python.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience presenting at industry events or trade shows.
  • Direct experience with networking or data security products.
  • Experience writing and editing technical documentation and operational procedures for a technical audience.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and experiment with new technologies and products.
  • Strong customer advocacy skills with experience navigating and resolving difficult customer situations.
  • A fast learner with strong initiative, a sense of ownership, and a drive to get things done in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and execute the comprehensive technical marketing plan for AI security products.
  • Create, maintain, and deliver impactful technical assets, including whitepapers, demos, videos, and training for sales, customers, and partners.
  • Lead competitive research and testing to identify key product advantages, and effectively communicate these findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary technical evangelist for Palo Alto Networks, presenting at conferences, seminars, and high-level customer briefings.
  • Proactively collaborate with engineering and product management to identify and address product gaps based on competitive analysis and customer feedback.
  • Serve as the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks products, providing expert guidance to Systems Engineers on competitive positioning.
  • Document complex technical concepts to ensure products are well-understood and utilized to their fullest potential.
  • Establish and maintain a competitive test lab, including test harnesses, competitive products, and automation environments.
