As a Principal Technical Manager, you will collaborate with other Principal Technical Managers to provide advanced scientific and technical guidance, making recommendations to top-level administrative and technical management officials. Your role will ensure that the technical and scientific programs of the department are responsive to both current and emerging Navy requirements. You will be expected to inject new insights and question conventional approaches, encouraging new ideas and innovations. Additionally, you will lead the development and design for all aspects of surface ship elements and sensors, integrating systems across ships, aircraft, and other theatre platforms critical to ship readiness. You will also develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards for afloat units, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and directives, while identifying maturing technologies for implementation and integration based on emerging threats and required capabilities.
