About The Position

The Amazon Publisher Monetization Prime Video (PV) organization's mission is to maximize advertiser value and monetization for the publisher by delivering compelling, high-impact ad experiences across Prime Video and Amazon's 1P properties. Prime Video's unique combination of premium content, broad customer reach, and Amazon's first-party audience insights positions us to help global brand advertisers reach customers in meaningful, measurable ways. We are looking for an experienced Principal Business Development Manager to help us grow and future-proof Prime Video Ads revenue across the Americas. This person will own a distinct growth motion within our Americas BDT team — either deepening our most strategic enterprise relationships or building a diversified, scaled advertiser base beyond our largest accounts. This person will drive efforts to meet in-year targets and operate 2–3 years ahead of current revenue, shaping the demand landscape before it becomes obvious. The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial instinct, a builder's mindset, and the ability to work across Sales, Product, Finance, and Marketing to drive durable, high-quality revenue growth. They will be responsible for defining and executing a business development strategy that complements product strategy, reduces revenue concentration risk, and expands Prime Video Ads' footprint across priority verticals and customer segments in the Americas.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a business development strategy focused on either deepening enterprise account relationships or expanding Prime Video Ads' reach into new advertiser segments and verticals
  • Manage revenue generating efforts for in-year financial targets
  • Identify and shape emerging revenue opportunities 2–3 years out
  • Construct strategic business plans that address both near-term revenue targets and long-term diversification goals, in partnership with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Marketing
  • Drive multi-product adoption and wallet share growth within target account segments, positioning Prime Video Ads as a platform rather than a point solution
  • Generate and implement high-impact ideas to improve business performance, drive innovation, and scale Prime Video Ads' advertiser base
  • Lead day-to-day operational aspects of the business, including gathering and acting on voice-of-customer (VOC) insights and removing systemic barriers to advertiser expansion
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with advertisers, agencies, and internal stakeholders to grow and optimize the business
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to evolve ad products and capabilities based on market feedback and unmet advertiser needs
  • Define and track business metrics that measure revenue quality, product penetration, vertical diversification, and advertiser durability — not just top-line growth
