SLR Consulting is seeking a full-time Principal/Senior Principal Engineer with over 20 years of tailings engineering experience to join our Mine Waste Engineering (MWE) team. Preferred locations include Denver, Reno or Phoenix. The successful candidate must have experience in the design, construction, operations and monitoring of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), and have been / are an Engineer of Record (EOR) or Deputy EOR for a TSF. This position is part of an innovative and collaborative global team that works in the mining sector. This position also offers the exciting opportunity to be a leader within the MWE group and help develop and mentor staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing a strong team, fostering a collaborative work environment, and driving the growth and success of the group. The ideal candidate will have active clients and expertise in client management, internal staff management, the management of multiple project efforts and project teams and business development. This will include coordination with staff resources, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and writing skills that include the ability to review and provide feedback on proposals, reports, and other technical documents.
