About The Position

The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services—including survey and design through installation, security, and testing. This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across all CONUS Army installations. We’re looking for a Principal Systems Solutions Engineer to lead systems engineering efforts for Army network modernization initiatives. You’ll develop and guide engineering solutions from concept through final design, providing fielding teams with the technical direction, documentation, and artifacts needed to successfully implement COMPMOD capabilities. You’ll work closely with government stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet mission requirements, comply with DoD and Army standards, and are ready for deployment and operational use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scope and complexity
  • CCIE or CCDE certification
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
  • DevOps certification from Cisco, Microsoft, or another industry-recognized provider
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance at teh time of application

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting the U.S. Army or other federal agencies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior military leadership and technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop system engineering plans to modernize, upgrade, and enhance capabilities across the project lifecycle
  • Lead systems engineering efforts from concept development through final design for COMPMOD GENM-A capabilities
  • Develop and deliver engineering installation plans (EIP) and implementation solutions
  • Provide fielding engineers with complete technical packages, including: As-is and to-be physical and logical network architectures
  • Integration, test, implementation, and transition/migration plans
  • Cybersecurity artifacts (STIGs, POA&Ms, approved OS versions)
  • Hardware/software lists and installation team checklists
  • Apply U.S. Army engineering processes and identify additional documentation needs as required
  • Support program milestone decisions through technical analysis and issue resolution recommendations
  • Prepare, review, and deliver required engineering plans, reports, and briefings
  • Provide technical support for program reviews, conferences, and stakeholder meetings
