We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) organization is hiring a Principal Systems Requirements and Verification Lead to join our Tucson, AZ location. This position will support a major program by contributing to the redesign of a component for the program. The team uses the agile framework for rapid development according to customer priorities. This position is onsite in Tucson, AZ.

  • Be part of a systems engineering team supporting the Tomahawk Redesign effort.
  • Lead the requirements verification process for a missile subsystem.
  • Develop and manage requirements and ensure requirements traceability.
  • Create and maintain requirements verification artifacts.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, including Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and System Verification Review (SVR).
  • Interface with program leadership and customers during Technical Interchange Meetings and Technical Design Reviews.
  • Utilize DOORS for requirements management.
  • Prepare and deliver technical briefs or presentations.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design using agile methods.
  • System performance and analysis.
  • Software design, development, integration, and verification.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering requirements across the following areas:
  • Algorithms and signal processing
  • Electronics (circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, complete systems)
  • Navigation (GPS or Inertial)
  • Autopilots
  • Modeling and simulation (for example 6-DOF)
  • Mission planning and analysis
  • Aerodynamics
  • Flight control systems
  • Warheads, propulsion, or other energetics systems and subsystems
  • High Power or directed energy systems or subsystems
  • Airframe structures
  • Sensor sub-systems
  • Communication systems or subsystems
  • Sensor sub-systems
  • Configurable Logic / Firmware / VHDL architecture, design, development, integration, and verification
