The Integrated Solutions Modeling and Architecture Directorate (ISMA) performs customer focused operational analysis, simulation, mission planning and architecture development activities within Raytheon, an RTX company. Supporting this mission are teams driving flexible integrated solutions crossing all product areas (sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics and operations), developing tools and methods to evaluate system level studies and visualization based on customer requirements. Raytheon’s Operations Modeling & Analysis (West) is currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer. Join this visible team and perform highly technical assignments, directly contributing to protecting our nation and our warfighters. The Advanced Mission Analysis Section’s goals are to provide strong discipline-based Systems Engineering for Operational and Mission Analysis, System Architectural definition, and Advanced sensor performance to deliver overmatch capabilities for our multi-domain national defense customers through modeling, simulation, and analysis. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working in Linux Environments.
  • Experience using standard government developed tools including Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration Modeling (AFSIM), Suppressor, Brawler, and similar.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of military tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Domain knowledge in Sensors (RADARS, EOIR, etc.), Network Communications, Weapons/Effects (Missiles, Projectiles), Command & Control, and Resource Management is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with scientific computing environments, models, and/or simulations such as the following: MATLAB, Simulink, Python, etc.
  • Experience with Military Operations Analysis
  • Ability to understand tactics as described by military experts and to represent their employment (verbally, graphically, and in simulations)
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments

Responsibilities

  • Develop modeling and analyze solutions across programs, Captures and IRADs
  • Support Operations Research functions, including mission and campaign analysis.
  • Develop team expertise in Analysis methods, software development, and tools
  • Coordinate with Principal Investigators, IPTs, Program Chief Engineer, and Program Management as needed.
  • Develop capability delivery plans and lead team execution in an agile framework
  • You will provide guidance, direction, mentoring and influencing skills, and foster teamwork, interdependent execution, and growth for earlier in career Engineers.
